  1. Isolated

    Scheduled and highly organised

    Busy & Regulated

    Good food

    Good movies & recreation

Good sound sleep after work is done

No family politics - peace of mind

    Good pay, no taxes

    Good holidays and breaks

    Worldwide fraternisaion

  2. All I can tell you is from the commercial side. You have very long hours (as in 24-36 hours without sleep) and some of the worst conditions at times. The weather is always changing, while its sunny and calm now, within 20 minutes, it can be storming with 30 foot seas. If you are not acustom to a working environment that pitchs and rolls 60 degrees either way, some of the worst working temps (100+ to 0), extremely long hours, and dont get along with your co-workers well, then a life at sea is suicide! Thats about the best I can sum it for you!

  3. There is nothing like it. I have done it for many years.
