~~~what do you think of my idea for anouncing pregnancy?~~~?

get his parents my mom and grandparents his sister and kids nad my two kids and get them all together for a "family picnic" at a park and me and my husband bar b que. we will serve baby back ribs, baby carrots grilled, grilled baby corn on the cob (the small ones ), serve salad with the baby tomatoes (cherry tomatoes), with baby pickles (the small tiny ones) and for desert give everyone a bitesize candy bar and one of the fudge pops that are the tiny ones. and after we are done eating if no one has caught on to the "baby" theme we will ask if anyone has notived anything.

Ohmigosh!!!!  I totally love it!!!  We told my husbands parents when we went to their house and my husband looked at them and said.....what do you think of_____for a name??  And they started to say something....then stopped and looked at us and were like?????  It was so cool to watch the look on their faces!!  (We had been ttc for 8 years)

Haha... sounds good... but...  Instead of asking them if they've noticed anything, try saying "hey, I have a new game"... hand out sheets that would look somethig like this:

                                         MENU

____back ribs

____ corn

I think it's a cute idea, though I personally would wait until I was actually pregnant - which is maybe what you meant, but it seems like you're intending to announce it before? I think maybe that's what the other person meant about your family being pissed, if you went through a big production to announce that you're just trying (not that that gives people a right to be rude!). good luck any way, it's great that you care so much about your family that the announcement is important to you. :)

Thats so adorable! When my older brother and his wife fell pregnant with their first they made a movie and sent it to us (we live in different towns) the movie had photos and little movies it was called 'Our life so far' the very last photo was a 12 week ultra sound picture. It was the biggest suprise and so wonderful...

Then when they fell pregnant with their second child, they came to visit us and my 3 year old nephew walked in with a red t.shirt that has really fine print. So we all went over to read it and it said 'I'm going to be a big brother'
