  1. I live in australia. And we eat wayyyyyy to much... But some of us just dont get fat... Its wierd but an original aussie dinner is sausages mash potato or Bangas and mash. Lol. REMEMBER almost NO australians have that stupid accent the stupid americans make it sound like we have.

I bet you if we had a convo you wouldnt be able to tell what country i came from... Lol. It would be funny if i just wasted all this because you are australian.....

  2. best in the world ask  the world they will tell u

  3. Lots of vegetables, potatoes, fish, pork and beef, but lamb is not good in Latvia.  We also eat a lot of pickles, beetroot and cottage cheese though in the latter I am not typical Latvian.  I hate the stuff with a passion.  Sour cream and sweet cream are also in many of our dishes.

Rye bread, saldskab - sweet sour dough bread is almost a certainty on every table, whatever the meal.

For social occassions there are always bacon rolls called piragi.  Made of a yeast bread dough and shaped into little crescents, brushed with eggs and sprinkled with caraway seeds.

Chives, dill, parsley also feature highly on the menu.

Birthday cakes are bready dough with saffron and currants or mixed fruit, plaited or formed into a pretzl shape.

Potatoes are to die for as are the tomatoes.  My dreams of home are always filled with these.  Soup is a very traditional part of a meal.  However it is said that there as many recipes for soup as there are families in the country!

In the early days of freedom of travel there Latvians would come to England and when we asked what they missed most, they all said soup!

  4. cawl

  5. yesterday i had smoked pork sausage with baby potatoes, broccolli and corn on the cob. we usually eat a roast dinner every sunday, a take away friday or saturday night. during the week we have stuff like spaghetti bolognese, fish with rice and veg, chicken fajita's, pasta salad with olives, spinach and feta cheese with garlic bread and maybe some parma ham slices to nibble on. if i make roast chicken on a sunday i usually use the rest of the chicken to make a nice soup. or if i havent planned dinner we just 'rough it' which means raid the cupboards til your hearts content! lately i have tried the feed your family for a fiver range at sainsburys and they are very surprisingly delicious!

  12. My home country is India. Let us look at some basic facts.

    1. Majority of India lives in villages

    2. Majority of India is lacto-vegetarian. They are vegetarians and also consume milk.

Milk and other dairy products give them most of the nutrition they might otherwise lack.

The basic Indian diet consists of four items

    1. Homemade fresh whole-grain flat bread known as Roti

    2. Some sort of a soup made with dried beans. This is called Dal. Dal is a major source of proteins

    3. Vegetable curry for whatever vegetable is in the season. The vegetable curries are called Subzi

    4. Dairy product as a beverage. It can be milk or home made buttermilk.

Homemade buttermilk is skimmed buttermilk with live culture in it. Its called Chach

    So here we have it

Roti (bread), Dal (Dried beans), Subzi (Vegetable curry), and Chach (buttermilk) or Doodh (whole milk).
