alright,

to make a long & very complicated story short.

my friend derek liked my friend jenny

jenny liked someone else and it broke dereks heart.

derek is my best guy friend who i just recently decided i have a thing for.

jenny is super confusing and messes with boys for fun and would kill me if she knew i liked derek. even though she likes that other person

ive told 2 of my best friends and they think me & derek would be great but i dont want to lose jenny as a friend.

im so lost & confused and i dont know how much help/ advice there is out there but i would greatly appreciate it.

If she doesn't like him, she doesn't have a right to get mad at you. (She doesn't have a right to get mad at you for your feelings anyway, though). She can't have them all. Talk to her and tell her you like him, and ask how she feels about it. But despite what she says, if you like him, go for it. She can't control who you go out with, ESPECIALLY since she didn't like him.

I know you don't want to lose jenny but sometimes you have to let go of some things

if she were a true friend she wouldn't be putting you in this situation

friends like that influence you to do things that you wouldn't want to do

If thats not what you wanna do i strongly recommend you to talk with her and get her to understand that if friends don't do this to each other!

and she likes another guy so tell her to be mature about all this and forget about derek because she likes the other guy

hi . you are all friends an d a persen can have many friend and can also love just one of them so you shoud not decide for derek and jenny and they can be friends like you and derek beacuse you and derek are just friends you are not married so each person can decide for him/her self so do not be unhappy ok .

I think you should gradually flirt with Derek and he will start liking you . . . or not. Haha. But just explain to Jenny that you have a thing for him. If she is your real friend, she'll understand.  :)

Tell her how you feel if shes a real friend she'll want you to be happy especially since she doesn't even like him and if she gets made she doesn't have you in her best interest and shes just attention hungry and has low self esteem that she needs to work out follow your gut if you like him go for it she'll get over it and probably end up missing your friendship
