     Over the years, the U.S dollar has been the mainstay of the world economy due to its relatively strong economy which attracts foreign capital, improvement in trade balance and budget deficit, and higher interest rates relative to developed alternatives.


    The U.S dollar emerged as a powerful currency because of United States ability to lend to European countries and to the rest of the world.
