If I bought a ticket and had winning numbers BUT was filing for a divorce, could I give my mom my ticket and let her claim the cash? Couldnt I just say she sent me to the store to buy her a ticket?

you should cash it in and give it al to charity..that would really get your ex

If you really had the ticket and you were filing for divorce then you should do what you said in the question and erase this before you ex or his lawyers sees this

you can hang on to the ticket yourself file for divorce then cash it.

trust me i have a friend that did just that with his 5.4 million dollar winning ticket from 2 years ago
