  1. (x-2)/2 + (x-4)/3 = (x+1)/6 – 3/2

    Bring everything to a common divisor so that you can drop it

    3(x-2)/6 + 2(x-4)/6 = (x+1)/6 - 3*3/6

    Multiply the seperate elements of what's in the brackets

    3x - 6 + 2x - 8 = x + 1 -9

    bring all the x'es to one side of the =, the numbers to the other. Switch + to - (and - to  +) if you a numbers position

    3x +2x - x = 1 - 9 + 6 + 8

    add everything up

    4x = 6

    divide both sides of the equation to get the result

    x = 6/4 = 1,5
