  1. (x^2 - 5x - 24)              (5x^2)

    ___________     *      _______  =

    (6x + 2x^2)                  (8 - x)

    1.)factor the first part --> (x^2 - 5x - 24) = (x + 8) (x - 3)

    2.) multiply it by --> (5x^2) = (x + 8) (x - 3) (5x^2)

    3.) simplify the first bottom part by dividing by 2 --> (6x + 2x^2) =

    (3x + x^2)

    *4.) switch (8 - x) around so the variable is first --> ( 8 - x) = (-x + 8)

    5.)multiply steps 3 & 4 --> (3x + x^2) (-x + 8)

    now you have:

    (x + 8) (x - 3) (5x^2)

    ________________

    (3x + x^2) (-x + 8)

    multiply (-x + 8) by -1 so it will be positive --> your answer is...

    (x + 8) (x - 3) (5x ^2)

    ________________

    (3x + x^2) (x - 8)

  2. (3x-24)/(12x)*(25x)/(8-x)

    3x-24/300/8x

    11x/276

    i think thats right?

    maybe
