.ymail and groups?

I opened a new .ymail account and wondering how to go about joining a group with my ymail ID. I am asked to create an online profile, but do not want another e-mail account. Is this a temporary glitch?

Not it is not temporary glitch. Yahoo had it made when you want to join any group you have to open a yahoo e-mail with them..and once you do that..you can switch it over to your new e-mail and never have to use the yahoo e-mail at all..ya I know it is stupid they way yahoo forces you to use there e-mail. I don't like it at all..I have a yahoo e-mail account with them and when i started to use it..half the time i would not even get e-mail..so I switch over to google mail and I get mail all the time and plus google mail is has lot of space. Here is what there space looks like:

Over 6886.464997 megabytes (and counting) of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message.  

and it still counting. You can't get that with any other e-mail not that big..and get this..if you delete something we all know it gone for good..but if you do it in googlemail..it still will be there in there trash folder unless you delete it for good..you have the option your self and more control on your e-mail with googlemail
