yourgolftour.com throws weight behind Disabled British Open as the title sponsor
Disabled British Open will be on the roll again for the fourth consecutive year at East Sussex National in August. The event marks the mainstream golf event marked exclusively for the disabled and physically disadvantaged people.
For the first time, the event will have a title sponsor on it as the leading golf tourism company yourgolftour.com will be extending complete sponsorship of the title including the tournament purse and the winner’s prize share.
The event, therefore, is now renamed as the yourgolftravel.com Disabled British Open 2012 and the yourgolftravel.com Junior Disabled British Open 2012, unfolding an unprecedented move by the company in its marketing bid.
Lindsey Horton, project manager with Remarkable Events hailed the company’s move to sponsor an event which is barely considered a mainstream golf event and hoped that this step will go a long way in promoting and bringing new business for the said concern.
She said, “Having yourgolftravel.com as a title sponsor is a huge fillip for everybody involved with the tournament. The company is one of the most respected and fastest growing in the industry”.
Ross Marshall, yourgolftravel.com’s CEO also spoke on the occasion and briefed on the company’s move to extend sponsorship to this event.
He said, “The ethos of yourgolftravel.com has always been to make golf more accessible and this event has adopted the same attitude since its inception. It shows golf is available to all and the skill on display last year, when I first saw the tournament,
was awe-inspiring and humbling in equal measure”.
yourgolftour.com was ranked in top-100 among the fastest growing business concerns in the country in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 2011 guide.
The company has won the accolade for the third time in a row and there are only 12 companies among the top-100 who have made it for the third consecutive year.
The company is ranked 26th on the list and marks its burgeoning growth as the top-ranked tourism company in Europe.
Uckfield resort will be hosting the event for the third time in four years and disabled golfers from all over the world will be part of the heavy contingent in August.
Disabled golfers will be coming in from far-fledged countries like USA and Pakistan.
