  1. To care for a yucca plant first purchase a yucca cane with no cane wobble.  Then plant in a 15x10 inch pot and pour in some potting soil.  Make sure the pot has drainage holes. add some sand to the mix.  Water every 10-14 days or when the first 1 inch of soil is dry over watering may cause root rot, and/or a yellow and brown discoloration on the leaves.  When pruning remember:  BE CAREFULL!!!  The leaves are very sharp.  If leaves are light green and droopy, the plant isn't getting enough sun or light.  Keep twoards a south or east facing window.  Remember:  The more sun the better(:  After 8 months to two years of proper care,  white boqueas of flowers will develop in late spring or summer.  A full grown yucca cane will have up to 4-5 canes.  In early life the yucca will have 2-3 canes and 4-8 buds
