An American writing about having High Tea in a London market tea room complains about the price he had to pay for tea sandwiches.

I heartily concur.

Not only do I concur but this is what I`ve been screaming about for months now.

Rate cap, rent cap and lower the prices.

  1. That would have been somewhere like the Ritz. It is famously expensive and something you should do once. Actually sounds a tad cheap for the Ritz.

  3. Just stay away from the poxy place

  4. There are lots of much cheaper places to eat and drink in London.

There is always a choice in any large city.  Go to the expensive tourist traps, or find somewhere cheaper.

  5. Anytime I venture into the city a stick with M&S or Boots as their prices seem to be the same regardless of where you - I refuse to take out a second mortgage for a bit of bread and cheese and they don't even want to butter the edges!!!

  6. What a rip off!!!! x-x-x

  7. Either the ritz, or tourist prices else where.

  8. YOU get what you pay for

    London is a rip-off capital

here in N Wales we charge fair prices for good food.

  9. London is a rip off and no wonder people do not want to holiday in Briton as the prices are escalating all of the time they could have bought a loaf cold meat and bought a take a way cuppa tea for a few pounds and sat in the park fed the ducks with the left over and been more Stress free

  10. Looks like they saw you coming. There is nothing wrong in finding a small, traditional pub and having sandwiches there, far better value !

Stay away from the tourist areas when wanting something to eat, drink, and use surrounding areas
