How to renewals a V-1 visa to re-enter to Canada. I will be traveling in NY and I want to renew my present Canadian tourist visa. Instead of one entry I’ll like to ask a multiple entries to Canada.

I went to the web page of Canadian consul in NY and do not find any information how to renewals tourist visas. Do I need to present all and the same information I did the first time or is any application regarding renew visas? Presently my visa will be expired the 02-08 period visas for tree months. I’ll ready travel to Canada December 07. Do also need to ask for appointment or I just need to go the same date I want to present my application.

Please send me any information regarding my specific question.

Thanks

  1. From the CIC website:

"May I leave, then re-enter Canada?

In order to return to Canada, you must be in possession of a valid passport or travel document. You also need

to hold a valid study or work permit if you are returning to study or work in Canada.

If you are a citizen of a country that requires a temporary resident visa (TRV) to travel to Canada, you will

also need to be in possession of a valid entry visa to return, unless:

    • you are returning to Canada following a visit only to the United States or St-Pierre and

    Miquelon; and

    •  you return before the expiry of the period initially authorized for your entry or any

extension to it, either as a visitor, student or worker."

You may apply to extend your TRV at any Canadian embassy or consultate, but you might have to reapply for a new visa. Call them.

The application kit for extending a TRV is linked below.
