  1. db steve has experience, here it comes. BUT..all boils down to if you want sound qaulity or loud..sq and dbs you can get with L7s,all boils down to encloser type..ported you will get a loud set up..but sealed you will get decent sound pressure level and abit more sq.  but if your budgeted to a limit and want cheaper the jlw6 is the go..but the L7 despite what everyone sais has more cone area as the 12" is the equvilent to a 15" because of the square design..

  2. W6, it's designed to be more of a SQ sub, which is more important to me then SPL.  The comparison is more of an apples & oranges comparison.  Put the W7 up against the L7 if you want to compare SPL subs.

  3. I always pick Kicker over JL because you get more for the price (they are both high quality brands, but JL is very over priced), but the JL is for mostly for sound quality and the Kickers are for pounding

if you are looking for pounding bass and high sound quality i would recommend going with the Kickers and using nice components for your inside speakers for the sound quality (if you drive a car and not an SUV of truck)

if you really car about sound quality i would only go with the JLs if you had an SUV because the subs are right in the car with you so you can hear the difference- but if you drive a car and its going in the trunk go with the kickers

  4. Ive been in car audio for many moons. Iv'e gotten a taste of every sub kicker has to offer. From the comp entry level to the solo-x.. My personal favorite is the CVR. Very effecient, pumps the lows and is practical.

Ive heard sets of 12" L7's Single 15" L7's all ported. Both setups will knock your d**k in the dirt. Very loud, obnoxious deep throaty sound. But the disrotion and muddy sound sticks out if your not running a crisp amp. I give L7s a  3.5 out of 5.

JL Audio, again heard many types, love the W3v2. But the W6v2 is downright s**y. Built extremely well with JL's trendy techno stuff. The sub only needs 400w to pump some stiff, absolutely immaculate bass. There's not a small note these subs won't hit. And SPL is there, beleive me. The drawback, that disgusting price tag. Most dealers let a single 12" go for $399 - $460. Thats out of site. I give the sub a perfect score for quality and reliability. But giving a left nut to get the set up has always sent me else where. 4.5/ out of 5 for the W6's.

If money is no issue, go with W6. But if you wanna save some loot and you have the watts, go with the L7. Neither will let you down. Check out this link www.ficaraudio.com. Very nice subs, very nice price.
