ím 40 weeks pregnant and nothing happening ?

again, no B.H, no contractions ..... just a lil sharp pain, but it goes right away after i pee .... so whenever i get those pain, i know what to do ^_^ .... after sitting or laying on bed, i got up with sore vigina and i walked realli funny, but it goes away in 30secs .... besides that, nothing painful ..... ím 40 weeks but no sign of labor, is this because my baby hasnt dropped? (but i can feel the baby is reallly low) or I havn't dilated ? I was completely thinned out last week ... ..... Why is this ???

Don't feel bad, I'm 40w3d as of now, and my dr just monitored me for 20 mins and sent me home at my dr apt today. :( They set me up for an apt to talk about getting induced next Wednesday, and my hubby will be leaving for a 3 week job a few days later. I am so frustrated at the whole situation, and why my dr won't do anything to help. All I have been doing is walking to help, and it doesn't seem to do anything...GL to you!

Walk, walk, walk. s*x, s*x, s*x. But remember that pregnancy can go up to 42 weeks.

But since you have a doctor's appt tomorrow, you and your doctor can decide together what you want to do and what your options are.

Your Dr. will induce if s/he feels baby is ready to come.  Some women are pregnant for 42 weeks, and that's ok too!  Just have a little patience; you're almost there!  (being that you're completely thinned out, I don't think you'll go to 42 weeks)

IM DUE TOMORROW AND YES MY BABY SEEMS LAZY (AS WHAT MY HUSBAND LIKES TO SAY HAHA).. I WAS HAVING PAINS BEFORE BUT LATELY I BARELY GET ANYTHING. WALKING.. s*x.. WARM BATHES, I CLEANED THE WHOLE HOUSE BUT NOTHING IS WORKING MUCH.. IM AFRAID OF HAVING TO GET INDUCED. AND I DEFINITELY DONT WANT TO GO 2 WEEKS AFTER. I DONT EVEN LIKE THE FACT THAT I MAY HAVE TO GO A FEW DAYS AFTER MY DUE DATE.

I ALSO HAVE A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT TOMORROW MINE IS AT 10AM HOPEFULLY I COULD BE DILATED ANOTHER CM. IM 2CM BABY IS IN POSITION AND WAS TOLD IT DROPPED BUT IM NOT THINNING..

I THINK ITS CRAZY (BUT COOL) SO MANY PEOPLE DUE AROUND THE SAME AND ALL SADLY GOING THROUGH THE SAME. OUR BABIES JUST DONT WANT TO COME.. AND I HATE THAT WHOLE 42WEEKS PREGNANT.. UGHHH :'(

A pregnancy can go up to 42 weeks. Your body will go into labor when it is ready. Hopefully your doctor will have some good news on dilation/effacement for you tomorrow.

I know how you feel. you're doing the right thing by waiting a bit , tho. Your doc won't let things go too far.  Just walk alot, rest when you can, and get ready. God Bless! (mom of five)

you and I are in the same boat!!! my doc said just keep walking and he said do about 30-45 mins a day and have s*x! good luck and I hope you have your baby soon!!

I totally understand you. I'm in the same boat....My Dr. appointment is tomorrow and I'm also 40 weeks....and i cant wait for all of this to be over....I have tried everything.....walking, s*x, pineapples, nothing works....sheesh!....I am having pains but the hospital sent me home twice cuz they aren't close enough....i have really bad back pain....I'm dilated to 1cm.....and aloooooot of pressure.......and this is my 2nd baby......so i guess I'm just hurting for nothing.....the only thing i haven't tried is castor oil cuz I'm scared.....but I'm almost ready to try it......any one with any advice?.....Pleeeeeease.....

honey i'm 40 weeks and 3 days and i feel the same way. all same symptoms. i also have a doctors appointment tomorrow which i cant wait. i also feel the baby very low and she has alot of strength when she kicks me i feel like shes gonna knock me over lol. I think its just a late. I also want to get inducted. Theres only a 5% chance women ever deliver on there due date. its always 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after. Just want to wish you Luck and let me know what your doctor tells you tomorrow to see if mine said the same thing. my e-mail is [e-mail]
