AP English language

AP Psychology

accelerated pre-calculus

U.S. history

Last year I took AP European history and AP Chemistry so I'm not new to AP classes or anything...

  1. That's really good. Im taking AP psychology too and pre-cal.

  2. yikes!! i guess if you are used to a high AP load, you will be fine,  but still looks like kind of a lot.

  3. You have alot of AP classses but other than thati think you are very smart oh and i think your schedual is good take all the diffucult classes now so senior year you can take all the easy fun ones

  4. No, it's not really all that hard- in fact, I'm curious as to why US History is listed as regular. I did three APs but had four honors courses last year, did several extracurriculars, held my fair share of leadership positions, volunteered, wrote a book (okay, I'm kidding), worked part time at Target, and still made A's. There were more than a few people in my class who did what I did and had even more AP's, or more leadership roles. Seriously? I think AP is a little bit overrated personally, and I thought I would have to work harder. Of course, your school might have harder courses, so take that into account.

AP Biology- watch out for those evening labs! Make sure you can make this work with any other activities you do- if you can't, try to make some sort of compromise with the sponsor of the activity. The former president of one of our clubs tried to maintain his position, forgetting that AP Chem labs conflicted with our meetings. Result? He lost the position for next year.

AP Spanish- Pay attention to vocab and make sure you really know how to speak and understand Spanish- we ran into trouble with this because my last class had too much focus on the writing/reading aspect.

AP English and Psychology- both are easy peasy lemon squeezey. Just memorize the words and meetings, work on your essay writing, and these are easy 5's.

Good luck! Keep up the good work.

  5. Wow, you're an overachiever, huh? lol

Anyways, I took AP Biology last year as a sophomore and it's a lot of info. However, it's doable. I read the Barron's book over twice, got a tutor for the last 1.5 months before the AP test, and got an A both semesters and a 5 on the AP exam. If you're packed with many other extra-curriculars and cannot devote the last 1 or 2 months before the AP test to studying it hardcore, AP Bio is not the class for you.

I'm taking AP Spanish and AP English too. I think those subjects really depend on how good you are at the subject of Spanish and writing and literature, respectively.

    Good luck!

By the way, how is AP chem? I heard it was really hard but that's about as far as my knowledge of it. Can you email me and tell me what to expect? Thanks!

  6. I think that is awesome that you are taking challenging courses. I wish I could go to the same school that you do because they don't  offer those at the school i will be attending. lucky

  7. It depends... are you accustomed to advanced placement classes? Don't try to pressure yourself, if you take these classes be sure you are taking them because you want to. Be sure that you aren't doing this to please your parents or something, they aren't the ones who have to do the work you are.

    Good luck(:

  8. d**n, ur smart!

  9. I took AP Human Geography sophomore year and I got an A in the class and a 3 on the test. It wasn't that hectic for me. Last year, my junior year, here was my schedule and grades and AP scores:

AP Calculus AB (B and a 5 on the test)

    Computers/Drawing I (A)

    American History Honors Gifted (B)

AP Psychology (A and a 5 on the test)

AP English Language (B and a 3 on the test)

AP Chemistry (A and a 5 on the test)

In addition to the classes, I was on an all-star cheerleading squad, as well as my school's Varsity cheerleading squad. I would stay after school until 4 and then I had practice everyday from 4:30 to 9. It was hard, but I think I pulled through pretty well this year. It was also very gratifying knowing that I proved everyone who doubted me along road. I was also involved in clubs. I think your schedule is fine the way it is. It will definitely benefit you in the long run. It may seem like h**l during the process, but once it's over, you'll look back on it and be thankful you made that decision. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything.

Hope this helps and good luck :)

  10. I think it is fine if you are accustomed to Advanced Placement classes and the workload that accompanies them. As long as you are focused and diligent, your year should be fine. Just remember that stress will probably be inevitable and try not to procrastinate to lessen your load.
