  1. it IS a crime (yes you can write some lies about your extracurricular activities and stuff in you cv but saying that you are a graduate when you are not is not acceptable anywhere) and if they find it out, you ll pay the consequences so hard especially if you are a fake doctor or a fake dentist

BUT, we know there are plenty of those who do this

    my advise: dont do it

  2. E of course yani. Not to mention, a shameful act. Aklına bile getirme.

  3. Lying is a crime, you know that.

  4. ooo, what happened to you? I guess you are working with someone who obviously lied to get their job and really has the brains and experience of a carrot!

  5. It is a crime (constructive false certification). If you use such a CV it can be considered as fraud in some jurisdictions as well. If you use a false University degree of a protected job title (e.g. a medical doctor), this would be a further crime.

This was the criminal law part...

    And now to labor law...

If you are in a job interview and you are being asked a question that you don't have to answer, you are allowed to lie. E.g.: You are being asked about your sexual orientation during the job application interview. If you are a homosexual you are free to say that you are straight. Such a question has nothing to do with your qualification.

The problem with such questions in job interviews (which are BTW illegal) is that you can't answer them with "That's none of your business" because otherwise you may not get the job.

There is an exception for that. If you are applying for a job let's say for a secretary in the NRA (National Rifle Association) they may ask you if you are a member of e.g. "Citizens Against Fired Arms". In such cases you have to say the truth.

  6. If you are applying for a job that requires a work permit, the ministry will check qualifications with the university so you will be found out. I guess it is illegal but also it probably won't benefit you. Be very careful what lies you tell.

  7. I'm not sure if it is a "crime" in Turkey, but your employer could fire you for lying... and probably wont hire you because he/she could tell right away.  In the US and many EU countries, you have to sign a statement saying that your information is true, and if it isnt they can terminate you and sue you for costs, in some cases.  If its with the US government, they can fire you, sue you, and stick you in jail.

  8. This is not really a crime, but the company has legally the right to fire you if they find out that some informations were fake, even years after the beginning of your contract.

In Europe, that's the law, and I suppose that's the same rules in Turkey too
