  1. Nitrogenous compounds are byproducts or waste products of protein utilization pathways.Usually these are in the form of ammonia,urea,uric acid.All these compounds are excreted from bodies of animals.Even though not toxic in low amount ,they can be toxic and disturb normal physiology of an organism if accumulated in body.for eg:uric acid crystals accumulate in joints of humans to cause a disorder 'gout'.The faulty excretion of these nitrogenous compounds is indication of renal failure and vice versa.
