Maybe that's India, but not in Malaysia! Malaysian Indian bus drivers are somewhat great drivers. I like taking buses driven by Indian drivers, same like Malay or Chinese bus drivers...

KOLKATA: Bus drivers have not drawn any lessons from Friday's bus plunge off VIP Road, which left 21 persons dead, but the tragic accident has put passengers on their toes.

Reluctant to let callous drivers play with their lives, passengers of another speeding bus on VIP Road forced the driver to stop the vehicle, beat him up and handed him over to police on Tuesday.

Reckless driving in India is the problem of improper traffic rules, signals and roads. Useless driving tests are another reason. Not only in India but almost all underdeveloped countries have same -aneeshnr

The very reason the government is elected is to do something. But they are only interested in making money and furthering their cause. Look at Bangalore. The infrastructure is so poor. Just a classic example. Nandi Infrastructure have built a superb section of toll road from Tumkur road to Hosur road. The government is now opossing it due to vested interests and have not given crucial land for the final linkage. This would cut travel time and move heavy traffic out of the city. After the government took an initative in Hyderabad, look at the city now. Chandrababu Naidu is solely responsible for the development of the state. What say?-vtk

if every citizen takes it upon himself to enforce law then we can solve all problems, for example if we are sitting in a bus and the bus is speeding then we should tell the bus driver to slow down and obey the speed limit rule.

Bus drivers and people too are at fault.Overtaking from the left, zig-zag driving etc and also pedestrians not using sidewalks and walking on the road, not caring to see or even overlooking the traffic.All these things cause the bus drivers to drive recklessly with blaring horn to make people give way to the bus.If the bus is coming slowly people will not move away to give room to the bus.But if the bus is coming fast, people will move away.The same rule hold good for cars too.
